The Programme Management Organisation

The Programme Management Organisation has some similarities with the Multi-Project Organisation. The main difference is that the projects within a Multi-Project Organisation are usually carried out on behalf of an external customer – and are not logically linked. In a Programme Management Organisation, the projects are usually interdependent and aimed at bringing about internal changes to benefit the business as a whole.

Examples – any company changing their portfolio of products, incorporating the latest changes in technology or amending their operating procedures to improve their operating efficiency.
