COMMUNICATION

TOOLS

Introduction

Effective communication is the cornerstone of all activities undertaken by two or more parties. Without it, agreeing common goals would be impossible.

Communication is always bi-directional. An orator standing on a dias is not communicating, just making announcements. It is only when the orator interracts with an audience, i.e. gets and responds to direct feedback from his audience, can we say that communication is occurring.

However, understanding this is not enough in any 'formal' environment.

It is also essential to be able to record and confirm that communication has taken place, or is to take place and what has been, or is to be, communicated and agreed. Not only because of the possible adverse legal/contractual implications of miscommunication but also to ensure that every party is striving to achieve the same goal.
