ABBERMIST MISSION

To provide cost effective methods and procedures for the support of Major Change Programmes’ across industries. This includes but is not limited to the provision of draft procedures, planning and monitoring tools and in-house staff training.

BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Our experience has shown that organisations undertaking major change programmes fail to take advantage of what has been learned before.

Tools were either developed from scratch, or purchased at considerable cost, to conduct the most common of Programme and Project Management tasks such as Planning, Issue and Risk Management, Change, Cost and Version Control.

Development usually involved the production of spreadsheets for every purpose with no standard approach adopted in their design or implementation. Spreadsheets then proliferated and management effectiveness was greatly diminished.
In an effort to standardise it was common to see the purchase of a 3rd party application described as an 'Enterprise' solution.

An enterprise wide approach is not a 'quick fix' and it carries additional, usually hidden, costs of tailoring and training.

No software package arrives ready to use.

Since 1985 working on a number of programmes in a variety of industries, we have developed products for Programme and Project Management which make use of what is familiar to most if not all types of staff namely Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Windows Explorer.

Additionally we have developed management and control methods for these tools that do not include hidden costs, such as additional hardware or software purchase.

We also provide ready to use supporting documentation with only the company logo needing to be changed but which can be modified to accommodate your unique requirements.
